Melissa Willette, FNP-C Begins New Chapter at to Bay Path

May 29, 2024– Melissa Willette, Family Nurse Practitioner, was recently named director of nursing at Bay Path Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Duxbury, MA.

Willette comes to the skilled nursing and rehab center from Beth Israel Lahey Hospital, Extended Care Community Program and Plymouth Medical Associates, where she served as Nurse Practitioner and provided on-call service to multiple, local skilled nursing facilities since January 2023. She has been a Registered Nurse since 2011, later earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Sacred Heart University, Post Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner Certification from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, and is currently working toward her Master’s P. MHNP Certification from Regis College. Her robust career in nursing spans the pediatric school setting, hospital, and geriatric care.

“My passion and greatest accomplishments continue to be with the adult/geriatric population with goals consistent with improving health outcomes,” said Willette. “Management of acute and chronic conditions with a focus on prevention and decreased hospitalizations, and overall improved quality of life.”

A resident of Middleboro, Willette enjoys spending time with her family and is a proud auntie to her niece and nephew. She loves music and all things T. Swift, Dogs, Starbucks Coffee, and the Summer!  

“Melissa is well known and respected in our community and brings years of experience to the facility,” said Kristen Reilly McHugh, executive director. “We couldn’t be more excited to have Melissa join our team – it is a blessing to have someone with her nursing skills and management experience with us as our director of nursing.
