November 18, 2024, Massachusetts – Bay Path (Duxbury), Hancock Park (Quincy), Ledgewood (Beverly) and Seacoast (Gloucester), are among the top 19% of U.S. skilled nursing facilities that have been recognized as a Best Nursing Home for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report.

The homes earned Best Nursing Homes status by achieving a rating of “High Performing,” the highest possible rating for either Short-Term Rehabilitation or Long Term Care. To calculate the Best Nursing Homes ratings, U.S. News evaluated each nursing home’s performance using a variety of quality measures obtained from CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid). In 2025, ratings were determined by nurse staffing, patient outcomes, emergency room visits and hospitalizations,  and whether steps known to be effective in avoiding harm and improving health were built into nursing home routines.

“Our teams have worked tirelessly to provide exceptional care to our patients and residents, said Kevin Morris, president of BaneCare. “Receiving this recognition is only made possible by maintaining high patient safety standards, along with a tremendous amount of teamwork. I appreciate each one of our hardworking staff members whose efforts have made this success possible.”

Now in its 15th year, the U.S. News Best Nursing Homes ratings and profiles offer comprehensive information about quality of care. To learn more about U.S. News & World Report’s Nest Nursing Home list for 2025, visit https://health.usnews.com/media/best-nursing-homes/bnh_methodology.
