Brighton House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center
Brighton House had the distinction of becoming Boston’s first continuum-of-care campus for seniors when it opened in 2006. Conveniently located just minutes from St. Elizabeth's Medical Center and the Longwood medical area, the 78-bed rehabilitation and nursing center provides subacute, short-term and long-term care. The staff is committed to providing high quality medical, nursing and rehabilitative care to allow every resident to experience the best quality of life while maintaining or regaining function, health and well-being. Brighton House is accredited by the Joint Commission.
Our dedication lies in improving the lives of our residents, be it for short-term rehabilitation or traditional long-term care. At Brighton House, we understand that meticulous attention to detail is key, investing equal measures of time and energy into both our environment and the care we offer. Our mission is to act as a seamless link between inpatient care and home for our short-term residents, while also striving to attain and sustain the highest level of functioning for each long-term resident.
Residents and their families enjoy spending time in the center’s bright solariums and sunny activity rooms. Among the center’s amenities include electric beds, flat-screen TVs, and recreational activities and outings. Residents enjoy delicious meals and menu and dining room options. A hair salon for men and women is onsite.
Social services counseling and discharge planning are important elements of the care and services Brighton House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center provides. Social workers help to identify a resident’s psychosocial, mental and emotional needs and then develop individualized plans to meet those needs. Social workers define additional services and follow-up resources necessary to ensure a smooth transition from the nursing center to home.
Upon admission to Brighton House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, each resident receives a treatment plan from a Registered Dietitian, with a specialty in geriatric nutrition. Based on the resident's personalized assessment, appropriate medical nutrition therapy is provided while enhancing the residents’ quality of life.
